Assistant Software Developer

MechaDax is a company dedicated to exploring the limits of mechanical linkage technology. We believe that linkages can efficiently perform previously unimagined roles, including serving as a power train, a complete vehicle, a digital computer, and more, and we’re developing these linkages to their fullest potential.

We are looking for help in two main areas: developing our internal design and manufacturing software, and participating in the development of (without being responsible for) documents, plans, strategies, and other things that benefit from a second perspective.

Assistant Software Developer tasks:

Develop core CAD/CAM software and algorithms in C++
Use Git for version control
Assist in developing documentation for processes as needed
Contribute to MechaDax’s planning, strategy, and vision as needed
Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed

Assistant Software Developer requirements:

Skill with C++ and Git
Good English
Well-organized work style
Preference for someone who is creative with technical things

Enrollment in a 2-year or 4-year program, preferably STEM, is desired, but not strictly required; this role is designed to be something a student can accommodate. We are offering this position part-time (20 hours per week). The schedule will be one 8-hour day on the weekend (either Saturday or Sunday, we have no preference) and three 4-hour days during the week from 5 to 9PM.
